Ear curets with lens and LED lighting with 3mm tip in a package of 25 spare parts with a light source. The tip has a range of motion of 90°. It is articulated to help remove the wax from the ear canal.
Description
To use the curetta:
1. Place the patient comfortably on the examination bed. Younger children may be seated on the parent’s lap during the procedure.
2. Using an otoscope, examine the ear canal by highlighting the presence and location of any foreign body or wax.
3. Straighten the ear canal by gently pulling the ear up and away from the patient. Place the edge of the curet next to the barrier or behind it if there is space between the barrier and the ear wall.
4. Grasp the handle of the curet in your palm by placing your index finger on the trigger and pulling it back. This will cause its edge to bend.
5. Hold the end in the bending position and gently loosen the obstruction from the ear canal.
6. Use an otoscope to review the ear canal, noting the presence and location of any
remainder.
7. Repeat the above procedure as required until the tympanic membrane can appear adequately or the foreign body has been removed.
8. Remove the otoscope and discard the edge of the curetta.
