Ankle pads are aids for gradual rehabilitation of the ankle after a sprain or even an injury. Wear an ankle brace when participating in sports activities to better support your ankle or when you are prone to injury from an earlier blow. They also help in a comfortable alignment of the foot and ankle.
Depending on the level of rehabilitation you are in, choose between splints – boots for the first time from a serious injury or fracture. At a later stage or in simple sprains, wear a splint inside a shoe, with air or gel. When you start exercising, continue with hypoallergenic ankle bands that allow the skin to breathe. Finally, wear comfortable shoes that are suitable for the activity. Make sure your shoes are in good condition. Avoid wearing shoes when the heel is worn on one side.
