The main function of Cosmopor I.V. transparent is the sterile and mechanical covering and fixation of nozzles/catheters. Thanks to the transparent membrane window, visual inspection of the puncture site is allowed without the need to change the dressing. The waterproof properties of the membrane provide a barrier against water, bacterial penetration and external contaminants. The dressing allows the passage of water vapor and gases, allowing the skin to breathe. The rounded corners prevent detachment, while the high degree of adhesion and the accompanying fastening tapes ensure a stable application of the dressing throughout the entire period of use. The dressing adapts to the curves of the body. Medical assessment of the puncture site and the surrounding skin is necessary to determine when the dressing should be replaced. Cosmopor I.V. transparent are non-active, single-use, self-adhesive, sterile dressings consisting of a coated composite base material with a hole (covered with a polyurethane film to allow observation of the catheters/nozzles during application of the dressing) and an opening for the nozzle placement, protected by silicone paper. They also include adhesive fastening strips attached to the silicone paper, for sterile coverage and stabilization of nozzles/catheters. Available size 9 x 7 cm. Price per 1 piece.
