The multinational company Bayer began its operations in Germany in 1863 as Friedr. Bayer & Co. Bayer Hellas S.A. was founded in 1976, although the company’s activity in Greece had already begun in 1955. Bayer’s pharmaceutical sector focuses on prescription products through two units, the general therapeutics unit (cardiology and gynecology) and the special therapeutics unit (oncology, hematology and ophthalmology).
