Description
The POWERbreathe Shaker Classic mucus clearers can be used anywhere, offering simple and convenient relief from excess mucus and related problems. They can be used for chronic conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, emphysema and serious problems, flu and bronchitis. By clearing the airways, the chances of developing lung infections and lung damage are reduced. Lung function improves, reducing shortness of breath and fatigue.
Inside the mucus clearing device there is a ball. With breathing, the ball rises, but then falls under its weight. This rise and fall happens extremely quickly and the user feels a vibration. This vibration, combined with the mild resistance created by breathing during the ball, causes a number of positive benefits. Changes in air pressure mean that smaller airways are encouraged to open, increasing the use of the lungs. The mucus is thinned or detached by the vibration, and the increased airflow helps the mucus move towards the large airways, where a mild cough can expel it.
Because the mucus cleaner is exposed to saliva during use, the manufacturer recommends cleaning it after use.Remove the mouthpiece, unscrew the back case, and remove the ball and inner cone.Wash all parts with soap and water, rinse with clean water, dry completely and reassemble it.The manufacturer also recommends once a week to clean the mucus cleaner using the approved cleaning tablets. You can also use a solution intended for use in equipment that comes into contact with the mouth, such as those used for infant bottles.
Regular use of the mucus clearing device between 5 and 15 minutes produces a beneficial effect, equivalent to that of physiotherapy techniques. The device should not be used by patients suffering from severe tuberculosis, pneumothorax, right heart failure, hemoptysis (coughing up blood). The mucus clearing device is available in the Shaker Classic version. The POWERbreathe Shaker Classic has been developed using the latest design technology technology.
