PDS Plus antibacterial sutures are indicated for use in soft tissue convergence, including use in pediatric cardiovascular tissues where growth is expected as well as for eye surgery (except corneal and scrutinal contact).
Antibacterial suture is not indicated in adult cardiovascular tissue, microsurgery and nerve tissue. These sutures are especially useful when combining absorbable suture and extended wound support.

They are absorbed from 182 to 238 days after surgery.
