The pediatric side of the bell is transformed into a traditional bell, replacing the dual-frequency diaphragm with an elastic crown that does not “freeze” the patient and which is included with every Cardiology IV stethoscope. Both the pediatric side of the bell and the adult side have single diaphragms that are easy to remove, attach and clean, as the surfaces are smooth and without cavities. Capturing subtle sounds is crucial for accurate assessment and diagnosis of the patient.
