Thin Prep Permanent Liquid 10ml for Pap Test, is a liquid cell preservation solution. The sample is taken using the same procedure as the classic Pap test, but a special brush is used, which is placed inside a bottle of preservative, the Thin Prep liquid, where it is rinsed thoroughly. In this way, on the one hand, all the collected cells are transferred to the Thin Prep liquid, and on the other hand, their proper preservation is ensured.
The most important advantages of the Thin Prep Pap Test are that it ensures the collection of all the cells of the intake and their proper maintenance, while in the classic Pap Test, the majority of cells are rejected with the spatula and the intake brush.
The liquid that has been prepared is centrifuged and processed in such a way as to transport the cells of the sample, after separating them from the blood and mucus so that they are clearly visible and do not overlap.
Description
The Thin Prep method has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) since 1996. The
Thin Prep Pap Test is taken in exactly the same painless way as the classic Pap Test, but the cells are not applied directly to the plate, but are placed in a vial with a permanent liquid and an automatic processing process follows with a special machine.
This method is now also used in other tests.
Authoritative sources worldwide have proven that the Thin Prep Pap Test gives more accurate results (over 90%) than the conventional Pap Test. The Thin Prep Pap Test is currently the most sensitive method of preventing and diagnosing cervical lesions.
