Willospon Standard Hemostatic Sponge 5x8cm
Willospon Standard hemostatic sponge is a sterile, absorbable sponge with excellent hemostatic properties. For more than 50 years, it has proven its excellent hemostatic properties in surgical procedures and wound healing. It allows the control of bleeding when conventional hemostasis is difficult to achieve and when the use of non-absorbable material is not desired. As Willospon hemostatic sponge is pre-sterilized with gamma rays, it does not need to be resterilized. The final package is double-wrapped to ensure sterility in the operating room and is ready for use by the surgeon, who can pick it up with instruments and/or dry sterile gloves. It can be easily cut and adapted to the bleeding area and can be applied directly to the wound with simple pressure. The origin and extent of the bleeding will determine the exact duration of application and the number of sponges required to ensure hemostasis.
